Richard Jackman, George Jackman .... It is not probable that many settler's families came in the spring, but most, if not all, were there before the close of the year.

  • JACKMAN, RICHARD - He was brother of George, born in Newbury, Oct. 17, 1709. He married Martha Call, daughter of Philip Call, who was a vigilant citizen during the war with the Indians. Mrs. Jackman's mother was killed by the Indians at South Franklin (see History).
