Richard S. Golden Williamsport, Md. Formerly of Scottdale

Richard Stanton Golden, 37, of Williamsport, Md., formerly of Scottdale, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at his home. He was born June 27, 1969, in Greensburg, the son of Norma (Basinger) Miller and stepson of Harry Miller, of Greensburg, and the late Lucien Golden. He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, class of 1986. He was employed as a supervisor and heavy equipment operator by PMI Asphalt, where he was employed for 17 years. He was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, Scottdale. Richard loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Willis and Effie Golden; his maternal grandparents, Stanton and Mary Basinger; his twin sisters, Jean and Joan Golden; and a nephew, Bradley Taylor Permuka. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his wife, Gwen Gibbins-Golden; his brothers and sisters, Kevin Golden and his wife, Jennifer, of Yukon, Kelly Permuka and her husband, Robert, of Greensburg, Suzette Blystone and her husband, Will, of Mt. Pleasant, and Rodney Golden and his friend, Carrie Durst, of Greensburg; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Faye Spiers, of Crofton, Md., Anthony and Sandra Mammano, of Bowie, Md., and Keith and Laura Gibbins, of Granite Falls, N.C.; his nieces and nephews, Nathan and Stacey Golden, Lee Michael Golden, R.J. Permuka, Jacob and Jesse Golden, Lauren Schubert, Victoria, Celena and Anthony Mammano Jr.; his great-nephew, Ethan Golden and his special buddies, Zoee and Max. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Doug Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery.
