"Richard Darrow1 was born in 1681/2, possibly a son of George and Mary Darrow of New London, Connecticut.* He married August 7, 1710, Sarah Shepard4, 1685/90-1774, daughter of Thomas3 and Hannah (Blanchard) Shepard of East Haven, Connecticut.

*George Darrow of New London was married to Mary, widow of George Sharswood. She died in 1698. Four Darrow children were baptized between 1678 and 1692; perhaps there were others. The birth date of Richard Darrow, 1681/2, would make it possible for him to have been their son."
