Assuming that Richard was a son of James Cooper (evidence unclear), it isn't known which of James's wives was his mother.

   The author names Richard as a son, not mentioned in his father's will. It is not clear what evidence there is for the existence of Richard, unless it is someone else's will. He probably died before Nov 1719 (father's will).
