Identity

Little has been found about this Richard Bartlett and his wife Hannah Batchelder. Kimball in Peaslees of Haverhill provides information and implies that he was related to Joseph Bartlett & Sarah Hoyt by stating "[n]ear the graves of Capt. Joseph Bartlett and his wife Sarah are those of Richard and Hannah Bartlett" S1, and providing genealogical data about this couple. Kimball also refers to Richard the son of Capt. Joseph and Sarah Bartlett, perhaps suggesting a more direct connection, but does not definitively identify his parentage.

In a vital record search for Richard Bartlett's born 1734-1744, two were located, Richard Bartlett, bapt. May 7, 1738, Amesbury to Dea. Joseph and Mary Bartlett and Richard Bartlett born Feb. 28, 1738, Glocester, RI.

Additional research is needed to determine who this Richard Bartlett is.
