  4.   It is not mentioned by Wheeler, but various Internet websites seem sure her husband died at Ticonderoga, she was the Rhoda Smith who m. (2) 1764 William Barker, and the excellent match of the age at death or Rhoda Barker suggests they are probably correct. Further circumstantial evidence is suggested by Isaac Smith, the son of Abraham and Rhoda, b. Sudbury 1754 (recorded in Acton), making choice in Apr 1769 [Middlesex Probate 20631, letter dated "April ye [blank]", bond given 25 Apr 1769] of William Barker of Acton to be his guardian. This was presumably necessitated by the death of Rhoda Barker (i.e., his mother) 12 Apr 1769.
