    Rebecca Matheny Dragoo Price

    Rebecca MATHENY was the second wife of William "Indian Billy" DRAGOO. They married Dec 1, 1814. By 1820 they were living in Licking Co., Ohio. William died there on Feb 21, 1856. Rebecca returned to Marion Co., WV and married Merriman PRICE on March 18, 1859.
    The Dragoo Cemetery is overgrown now, but in 1996, the Dragoo descendants visited and took photos of Rebecca's grave marker. The upper left portion was broken off and lying on the ground. It was evident that the marker read: Wife of M. Price.
