[obit] COCHITUATE, Dec 5 [1947] -- Mrs Rebecca [MacQuarrie] Sabean of 5 Kingstreet passed away, Wednesday, at General Hospital, Digby, Nova Scotia,following an operation. Mrs Sabean, who has resided with several daughters here for the past 12years, went to Rossway, Digby County, NS in June for a visit with threedaughters who live there. She was taken ill during her visit there. Mrs Sabean was born in Cape Breton, NS, 82 years ago, and resided inNatick and Brighton, before coming here 12 years ago. She had been activein the First Baptist Church, while living in Natick. Her husband, AaronSabean, passed away 24 year s ago. She leaves seven daughters, Mrs Bertha Peters of 6 King street; Edith,wife of Maynard Hilton, Peck avenue; Edna, wife of John Phylis, Schoolstreet; Hazel, wife of Henry Hilton, of Contoocook, NH; Celia, wife ofGeorge Hutchins; Florence, wif e of Willard Wentzell; and Hilda, wife ofCharles Thirault, the latter three residing in Rossway, NS. Also surviving are two sons, George, of Evergreen road, North Natick, andRoy, of Gardner; more than 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren;and two sisters, Bertha, wife of William Hutchins of Rossway, NS, andFlora, wife of Manning Mull en, of Port Maitland, Yarmouth County, NS.The funeral will be held in Nova Scotia.
