6 Nov 1829: "We the subscribers, heirs to the estate of Rebeckah Barrett late of Concord in said County, widow, deceased, intestate, hereby certify that it will be inconvenient to either of us to administer the estate of said deceased and we request that your Honor will appoint Nathan Brooks of said Concord to that trust." Signed James Heywood, William Heywwod.
17 Nov 1829: Bond of Nathan Brooks of Concord, esquire to administrate the estate of Rebeckah Barrett late of said Concord, widow, deceased.
7 Nov 1829: Inventory authorized; 17 Nov 1829: Inventory exhibited. $475.32 plus "Legacy of the late Humphry Barrett dec'd" worth $2000.
9 Jun 1830: Distribution ordered: full shares to Jonas Heywood, William Heywood, Anna Warren; one share split among Lincoln Heywood, Samuel Heywood, Jonah [probably misread: appear it should be Josiah] Priest in right of his wife, Peter Fletcher in right of his wife [see comment below].
[Note:Humphrey and Rebecca Barrett had no children, Humphrey predeceased Rebecca, she left no will, so by statute her heirs would be her brothers and sisters who were living or had heirs. The sister Ann Heywood m. Abijah Warren of Stow. One of her daughters m. (2) Peter Fletcher. It is not clear why she would get a part of a share that seems to belong to the children of John Prescott Heywood? Perhaps the probate file was misinterpreted?]
