Rebecca Jane, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Cline, was born in Richland County, Ohio, May 24, 1849. Passed from this life April 30, 1917; age 67 years, 11 months and 6 days.

January 8, 1868, she was united in marriage with Robert Bowen. Seven children were born to this union. Della M. having died in infancy.

About 40 years ago she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and friend. United with the Church of God, and after coming to Montpelier, Ohio , she united with the First U.B. Church where she continued a faithful member and devoted Christian until summoned to unite with the Church Triumphant.

Her husband, Robert Bowen, preceded her in death, Jan 20, 1915.

One brother, John Cline, of Mansfield, Ohio; one sister, Mrs Mary Franz, of Shiloh, Ohio; six children, Leonard E., Charles S., Orley H., and Ella Pierce, all of Montpelier, Ohio. Bert H., of Moblie, Alabama, Elmer B. of Coldwater, Mich. and six grandchildren with other relatives and friends mourn her decease.

Funeral services were held at the First U. B. Church, Wednesday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m., after which the remains were taken to Riverside cemetery for burial, Rev. J. H. Kunert officiating. The Montpelier Enterprise, Montpelier, Ohio Thurs 10 May 1917 pg 8 col 3

Mrs Robert Bowen, a highly respected lady of Montpelier, died at her residence on Main St last Monday evening after a brief illness.
