"Bishop, (Rev.) John. (Page 77.) It was his dau. Rebecca who m. Rev. Joseph Whiting; he gave a receipt in 1695 for portion due to my wife Rebecca according to the will of her father Mr. John Bishop dec'd. In 1718, Joseph Whiting of Southampton, Clerk, conveyed to son Joseph Whiting of Stamford, two pieces of land bounded on Bishop land. Rebecca (Bishop) Whiting d. at Southampton, 26 Apr. 1726 ae. 63 yrs. 2 mos. (g. s.)."
