Patriarchal Blessing
Salt Lake City, Utah
03 Jan 1865

A blessing by Orson W. Hyde upon the head of Rasmena Pedersen the daughter of Anders Pedersen and Caroline Nielsen. Born 04 Nov 1860 Salt Lake City Utah Territory. Rasmena in the name of Jesus I place my hands upon thy head - The beloved of the Father who was beloved of mine in the Heavens. Thou shalt have the gift of prophesying and the visions and revelations of God. And thou shalt be a prophetess upon Mount Zion and sing in a pure voice and language before the Lamb of God. And your voice shall be like the sweet music. You shall work all kinds of needle work which shall be marvelous unto many of thy kindred ties upon the earth. And many friends shall call you blessed of the Father. And you shall hear the voice of God from time to time calling thee by name and you shall live in as much as you will hearken unto all counsel before the Father and exercise faith when you come to years of understanding. You shall live until the coming of the Messiah for thou art of Ephraim and a lawful heir to the fullness of the Priesthood and a companion in due time which shall be a comfort unto thee. And a kingdom upon the earth which shall be as the stars in Heaven and the sands upon the sea shore. And I seal upon thee Crowns of Glory and Eternal lives to God. And to come forth in the morning of the first Resurrection in the name of Jesus Christ Amen. OBJE: C:\Photos\Petersen\Rasmena Pedersen.TIF
