Ralph Rogers descended from John Rogers who was burned at the stake in Smithfield, England. The Rogers family came to America in 1682. Landed at New Castle on the Deleware River and from there to New Jersey.

Ralph and Lou Anna moved to Oklahoma around 1889 and then to Columbia county, Oregon around 1890.
