It is possible that he was the brother of Ambrose Jackson, but there is no direct evidence for this. He mentioned Ambrose's granddaughter Hannah in his will, but this may be because he lived near Hannah's father (Henry Jackson) and he and his wife might have been her godparents.[1]

    Note: The first reference says he died 1744/5. The second reference does not give the split year and is ambiguous about the year his will was proved. It is possible that the split year of the will should be 1743/44 and that it was proved Apr 1744.
