Ruth, d/o Benjamin Woodworth of Lebanon, m. 4 Apr 1747 Caleb Fitch [sic].
[Note: despite abstracting the 1726 will of the father on p. 19, naming daughter "Ruth Owen", this source doesn't marry Ruth until 1747. Source:Woodworth, Elijah Burghardt. Descendants of Walter Woodworth of Scituate, Mass is so confused by this, it leaves off the marriage year off when giving this information on Ruth, apparently thinking it must be wrong. NEHGR, p. 102:151, says Ruth Woodworth m. (1) Caleb Fitch and (2) Joseph Owen, b. 1685. This scenario is ludicrous since Joseph Owen is 40 years older than Caleb Fitch! The marriage to Caleb Fitch, b. 1725, was in 1747 (see Barbour records for Lebanon). According to the will of her father, Ruth was already married to a Mr. Owen by 1726 (actually 1717 based on birth of son to Joseph and Ruth Owen in 1718), so she could not have been the Ruth Woodworth named in the 1747 marriage record. The Ruth Woodworth that married Caleb Fitch was a different Ruth, not the daughter of Benjamin. One source says she was the daughter of Joshua Woodworth and Ruth Brown (b. 27 Apr 1730 according to this source, no marriage listed), and without attempting to confirm this, at least this birthdate is plausible to have been the wife of a man born in 1725.]
