BLOOD, Rachel, d. Moses & Elisabeth, b. Nov. 11, 1757.
↑ There are three Rachel Bloods born in a span of less than a year. Source:Jewett, Frederic Clarke. History and Genealogy of the Jewetts of America, p. 186, says of Rachel, "She was born in Pepperell." If true, then the daughter of Moses would be the one who married Jedediah Jewett. Possibly her birth location is assumption based on the marriage record saying she was of Pepperell when she married. Source:Welch, Linda Margaret Farr. Families of Cavendish, p. 134 identifies this Rachel as the wife of Jedediah Jewett, Jr. Possibly this is assumption based on Jewett's comment, as no evidence seems to be given. The probate of the three fathers are particularly unhelpful, though Simon's daughter can be accounted for by deed evidence. The names of the children don't offer any clear indication. So far, no evidence has been found linking this Rachel to Jedediah other than the remark in Jewett, though it is believed to be a likely match.
