Taken from the book "Our Black Family in America" Compiled by Chester A. Black and Sarah H. Black 1960: Rachel and her husband were two who listened to the message her brother William Morley took to them when he went back to get his wife and two children. They came to Utah and settled in Beaver. When Rachel;s mother, her brother Benjamin Jackson Black and his wife, and the youngest sister Catherine with her husband came to Utah to visit William and Rachel, they went first to Rachel in Beaver. Later they moved to Fort Ephraim near where William and his family were living. The Indian War broke out and they were forced to stay in the Fort. Rachel and Charles moved to Circleville and were there at the time Benjamin and William Hite were killed by the Indians on 17 Oct. 1865. They went to Fort Ephriam to see the three women and the children off on their return to Illinois. Some of the older children who were married have stayed in Beaver and the descendants are still there.... Our Black Family in America page 256
