"The Calhoun Chronicle" - 5/9/1911

MRS. ABSOLUM KNOTTS News of the death of Mrs. A. Knotts, of Minnora, reached here early Monday morning. Mrs. Knotts was the widow of the late Captain A. Knotts, one of the best known and highly honored and respected gentlemen our country has ever produced, and the deceased was one of the very best women the country has ever known. She was formerly a resident of Grantsville, and had a host of friends here who are sorry to hear of her death. She was nearly ninety years old and had been in poor health for some months prior to her death, which occurred at the home of Mrs. A. E. Eismon, who was the widow of her son E. C. Knotts. Interment took place at Minnora cemetery Tuesday of this week. (Norma Knotts Shaffer)

Prudence is on the 1900 census living with her son Edward & his family. Prudence said she has had 6 children and all are living in 1900.
