Philip Galley, only son of Peter and Sophia, born 1775, died 8/3 or 31/1852 married c1796 or 7 Magdalena Newcomer, 1/26/1774-8/24/1851, daughter of Peter Newcomer and Catherine Good. After death of Peter, Philip was bound to uncle Philip Sterne, a citizen of Donegal township, Lancaster Cty, Pa. Learned to farm, graft, and weave. After marriage, moved to Frederick Cty, Maryland; then to Tyrone township, Fayette Cty, Pa.
