    (3987) (Deacon) JAMES OLMSTED, Olmsted Hill, Conn. b. Oct. 15, 1708; d. Mar. 17, 1777; m. Aug. 12, 1729, Hannah ; b. abt. 1708; d. Oct. 5, 1769. He moved to Wilton, Conn., in 1732. Bought land at Ballston, Saratoga County, N. Y., in 1774, of Adrian Rutger. He was buried in the Kent burial ground, and a stone was erected above his grave by his great-grandson, Hawley Olmsted.
