Petronella (Nellie) Tegenbosch, formerly of Route 2 Atwood, passed away peacefully at her residence in Royal Terrace Long Term Care, Palmerston on Friday March 4, 2022 at the age of 96. Nellie and her husband Case farmed for many years at Route 2 Atwood. She was a member of St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Kinkora and St. Brigid’s CWL. Nellie loved cooking, baking, gardening and especially spending time with her family.
Beloved wife of Case Tegenbosch whom she married in 1957. Loving mother of Marilyn Whaley (friend Dennis Horton), Chris (Christine), Joanne (Wim) Vink. Dear Oma of Carolyn (Brad), Natalie, Jessica (Randy), Janine (Jim), Nick (Vera), Ian and great-Oma of Emily, Curtis and Florentina. Fondly remembered by one sister and one brother in the Netherlands and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Johannes and Maria (Groenen) vanMeijl, six sisters and three brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday March 8 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 1025 Wallace Ave. N. Listowel on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ross Bartley officiating. Interment in Donegal Cemetery. In keeping with the current provincial legislation, masks are mandatory.
