Obituary

Peter Van Dorn Willis was born in Know County, Illinois, February 4th, 1851. He passed away at his home north of Imperial on January 30th, 1929, at the age of 77 years, 11 months, 20 days.

He grew to manhood in Illinois, having moved to Iowa at the age of 21 years. He was unified in marriage to Manda Freeman at the age of 23 years at Bedford, Iowa. To this union were born seven children. His wife and one child having preceded him. Those to morn his loss are Mrs. Rettie Stevenson, Mrs. Minnie Dinnel, Mrs. Mary Miller, Mrs. Hartsel Willis.

He was married to Mrs. Alvira Nedrow June 17, 1909 who also remains to morn his loss, also 36 grandshildren, 27 great grandchildren 3 step sons and 2 step daughters.

He joined the Baptist church at Blockton, Iowa at the age of 25 years and later took up his memnership in the Church of Christ, being a faithful worker until death.

Internment was made in the Hiawatha Cemetery, Rev. Terry officiating.

Peter is buried at Hiawatha Cemetery in Dundy, Nebraska
