REAL ESTATE: Peter Shaver received a land grant as son of a U.E.L. by O.C., 12 May 1830. He inherited from his father the E 1/2 of the W 1/2 of lot 28, Concession 1, Williamsburgh Twp. He sold part of this piece of land in 1826 to Henry Weegar I (instrument no. 483) and the rest in 1830 (instrument no 380) to Richard L. Whitney.

CENSUS: In the 1852 and 1861 census he is recorded as a farmer in T-Winchester on Lot 15, Concession 15; in 1881 in the same Concession but on Lot 17. In the 1852 Winchester census he lives in a shanty, and belongs to the Presbyterian Church. In the following years the census of Winchester marked him as Lutheran. In the 1852 Winchester census Peter Shaver's wife is marked as "Jane", later always "Mary".

DEATH: Died after the 1891 census.

Peter married Nancy Maria SCHWERDFEGER on 20 Jan 1822 in Williamsburg, Dundas, Ontario, Canada. Nancy was born on 19 Dec 1803 in Williamsburgh, Dundas Co., Ontario, Canada and was christened on 22 Jan 1804 in Williamsburgh, Dundas Co., Ontario, Canada. She died after 1891.

BAPTISM: St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Williamsburgh, Dundas Co., Ontario Canada.

DEATH: Died after the 1891 census.
