... Peter, the third son of Rev. John MacGowan, was a student of law in London and was admitted in Court of King's Bench in 1762. In early manhood he emigrated to New York, but was afterwards induced to move to Prince Edward Island. He arrived here in 1789, and in four years after that event he was made Attorney General of the Province by Gov. Fanning, which office he held up to the time of his death in 1810. ...
