He and his wife went to York County, Pennsylvania with Uncle Jacob LeFevre (8-009) and bought a farm near York County, Pennsylvania. In 1820 he bought a farm in northern York County near Goldsboro, Pennsylvania. On July 22,1830, while harvesting, there was a thunder-gust, and he took refuge under a large tree and was killed by lightning that struck the tree.
