Peter J. Jensen, 84, of Bremerton died of natural causes May 25, 1999, at Harrison Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1914, to George C. and Helen (Miller) Jensen in McMinnville, Ore. He was raised in Grand Island, Ore. On Oct. 25, 1941, he married Ruth Rose in Portland, Ore.
Mr. Jensen worked as a sheet-metal technician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20 years, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kris Ellis of Belfair; a daughter, Freda Ellis of Belfair; four brothers, Ernest of Sultan, James of Grapeview, Claude of Belfair and Vada of Vancouver; four grandchildren, Tabitha, LeeAnne, Bridget and Ivan, all of Belfair; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, John Peter, in 1987. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, with a funeral service immediately following at Miller-Woodlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
