Peter Aloysius Desch, 64, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital where he had been readmitted March 29th. He had cancer. He was born July 5, 1903 in Topeka where he spent most of his life.
He had been a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He was employed by Santa Fe Railway and Union Pacific Railroad and was a maintenance employee at Merrimont Noel Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amelia Desch at home; two sons, Peter P. Desch, Francis Desch; a daughter, Mrs. Rosella Rodriguez, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Jake Desch; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Allendorf, Helen Livingston, Mrs. Elizabeth Guyer, Marian Holloway, and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Desch will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brennan Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by the parish at 7:30 p.m and by Daughters of Isabella at 8 p.m.
