    pp. 3-4: Two theories developed by others on the identity of Peter are presented, with some analysis and the comment: ' ... the theory that the husband of Nichola Bird was identical with the younger Peter [in the two theories] is the more probable of the two theories, though his identity is not established with certainty.' A footnote goes on to cast doubt on the theory about the younger Peter, making it doubly clear that it is not know how Peter Bulkeley, the husband of Nichola, was related to the Bulkeleys of Bulkeley, Cheshire.
