Peter Leonard Cupp served in Revolutionary War for 7 months from his enlistment in the fall of 1775. After the war, Leonard Cupp moved with his family to Berkeley County, Virginia, then moved to Bedford County, Pennsylvania & about 1803 moved to Monongalia County, Virginia, and settled in the Crab Orchard, Preston County, Virginia. His family was living in Preston County by the time he applied for Revolutionary War pension benefits Jan. 15, 1833. J. William Cupp and Christina Otey: Peter Leonard Cupp came from Frederick County, Md, prior to 1800, and settled on the west hill of the Cheat River.
