... Capt. Peter Coburn, the paternal grandfather of Henry P. Coburn, was born in 1737, at Dracut, where he spent his entire life, dying in 1813 [sic, 1811]. He served in the patriot army during the Revolutionary war, in which he held commission of captain of his company. He commanded a company of minute-men at the Lexington alarm and was in command of his company in the battle of Bunker Hill, where his company was a part of the regiment of Col. Ebinezer Bridge.
