Paul Wetherbee [#22], s/o Capt. Ephraim Wetherbee [#6] and Elizabeth Hall, b. Lunenburg 20 Jun 1726, d. Lunenburg 6 Jan 1768, m. Lunenburg 11 Jun 1746 Hannah Pierce.
[Note: no such birth record can be found, either in Stow or Lunenburg. The Stow records here (town copy p. 136, original middle of right page) lists the birth of sister Ruth, but no other child of Paul's parents has been found (the records are very faded and many unreadable, but none in town copy or published VRs either). The records of Lunenburg (p. 334, originals p. 10), start with sister Mary who followed Paul. So the basis for the date given is not known.
Note however, that in the probate of his brother Ephraim, Worcester Case 63056, Paul sends a note to the judge dated 10 Aug 1747 saying, "I have bean to Stoe and sercht the reckerds and I find my Self twenty years old the tweneth of last June therfore I am not of age...". This suggests that at that time, the birth was recorded, in Stow, on 20 Jun 1727, not Lunenburg 20 June 1726 as stated above. Why it is not in the published VRs? It would seem that there is a very real possibility of confusion (by Paul in his searches, or by this author since we don't know where she got her information) with the Stow birth of Paul Wetherbee, s/o Daniel and Rachel, on 2 Jun 1727 (3rd from bottom right side), which appears to say "20nd" which could easily be read as either 2 Jun or 20 Jun.]
