Paul W. Turner, 70, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. Paul was born on Dec. 27, 1932, in Jackson, Ky., to the late William H. and Evalee (Taulbee) Turner. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from AK Steel in 1982 after 32 years of service. Paul was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church and a former member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie Turner. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bethel (Howard) Turner; two sons, Kenneth (Becky) Turner and Gregory Turner, all of Middletown; a granddaughter, Jayna Turner; six sisters, Amy Kinser of Corbin, Ky., Lucy (Gordon) Nelson and Christine Young of Middletown, Ohio, Mary (Lee) Porter of Atlanta, Ga., Irene (John) Meckissis of Louisville, Ky., and Shirley (Ralph) James of Cynthiana, Ky.; a brother, Fred (Pauline) Turner of Jackson, Ky.; and numerous other family and friends. ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dalton Funeral Home, corner of Ohio 4 and Weaver Road, Germantown. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Unity Baptist Church, 5960 Trenton-Franklin Road, Middletown, with Pastor Clay Colwell officiating. Burial will be in Elk Creek Cemetery.
