Paul C. Loughner, 85, of Herminie #2, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Aspinwall. Born Feb. 28, 1920, in Herminie #2, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Clara (Herrholtz) Loughner. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a toolmaker by Precise Metals and Plastics at its East McKeesport plant. He was a life member of both the VFW Post 8427 in Herminie and the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and William Loughner; and three sisters, Elizabeth Bush, Ruth Orner and Martha Loughner. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth A. Kobe Loughner; two sons, Karl D. Loughner and his wife, Kathleen Loughner, of Essex Junction, Vt., and Daniel L. Loughner and his wife, Dr. Pamela Loughner, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa.; six grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Smith, of Jeannette.
