Obituary taken from the Bryan Times, November 28, 1983, p. 3 PAUL H. FORD Fayette -- Paul H. Ford, 80, died Saturday in Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, where he had been a patient for five weeks. Mr. Ford was born Feb. 22, 1903, the son of Alfred and Arilla (McLain) Ford. He was the operator of the Corner Market, Fayette, for 41 years before his retirement in 1965. Mr. Ford was a member of the Toledo Musuem of Art, Toledo Choral Society, Fayette Fine Arts Council, Tiffin River Science and Historical Society and the Fulton County Historical Society. He and his wife, Vivian, were also king and queen of the 1963 Bull thistle Festival in Fayette. Other memberships included the Gorham Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, Fulton County Sportsmen's Club, Fayette village council and the choir of Christian Church-Disciples. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Paul, Ft. Thomas, Ky., and John, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Smith and Mrs. Kathleen Fix, both of Fayette; and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Kelley, Blissfield, Mich., and Mrs. Alice Dunlap, Boynton Beach, Fla. Eight grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Eagle funeral home, Fayette with the Rev. Hal Zug officiating. burial will follow in Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette. Gorham Lodge services will be at 8 p.m. Monday. References
