    Patrick Francis Slenders, of Gilbert, Arizona has died. He was born in Pomona, California to Andrew and Paula Slenders. Patrick was the youngest of seven brothers.
    He and his family moved to the Central Valley in the 1970's, to start a dairy farm. Patrick graduated from Chowchilla High School in 1985. He spent most of his life in the community of Chowchilla. Patrick chose to live out his days working on the family diary because his true passion was working with dairy cows. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
    Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Paula Slenders; brother, Paul Slenders; and nephew Nicholas Slenders.
    He is survived by his children Madison Gies of Chowchilla, Ca, Van D. Slenders and Patrick J. Slenders of Gilbert, Az; his brothers John and his wife Janice of Chowchilla, Tony and his wife Susan, Danny and his wife Tanya of Madera, Andrew Jr. and his wife Arlete of Laton and Bernie Slenders of Fresno. Patrick is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
    Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera, Ca., on Sunday, November 29, 2009, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a vigil to follow at 6:00 p.m.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columba Catholic church in Chowchilla, Ca., on Monday, November 30, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Chowchilla District Cemetery.
