    Mrs. Smith's summary is puzzling in that she states that Roswell K., husband of Patience, died before 3 May 1780 after having stated that Patience died after 24 June 1795 when she signed a deed with her husband. It is possible that (1) she signed with her step-son Roswell, son of her husband's first marriage, or (2) the 1795 date is a misprint.
