PHILLIPS -- Relatives and friends here have been informed that Oscar Aldrich, 68, a Phillips native, was found dead Friday in his mobile home on Dutton Hill Road, Gray, where he lived alone.
Born in Phillips July 26, 1910, he was the son of Dana and Mamie Steward Aldrich. He was graduated from Phillips High School with the class of 1927.
On Feb. 10, 1933, he married Regina Hinckley of Avon. Mrs. Aldrich has been a patient at Devonshire Manor Nursing Home, Portland, for the past five years.
Mr. Aldrich was employed for more than 20 years as a salesman for Chaplin Motors, Portland, retiring several years ago.
Survivors include his widow and a daughter, Jane Aldrich, RN, both of Portland; a brother, Andrew, North Jay; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Olson, North Miami Beach, Fla.
Services were held Sunday from the Dolby Funeral Home, South Windham. Interment will take place in the spring. |
