Orville T "Bud" Boughey, 79, of West Toledo, passed away Monday, Augu st 4, 2003, in The Toledo Hospital. Bud began his career as a partner wi th his brother, Einer in Boughey Painting and Interior Decorating, work ed over 10 years for the City of Toledo Division of Harbor and Bridges a nd retired in 1986 after 15 years as a painter and glazer with the Tole do Public Schools. Bud was an army veteran of WW II, loved to golf and bow led many years at Ottawa Lanes. He and his wife, Betty wintered in Port Ri cheyFL and enjoyed their cottage at Sweezy Lake for many years. He was a m ember of Rubicon Masonic Lodge #237 F & A.M, the Scottish Rite and the Zen obia Shrine. Bud was a former member of American Legion Post #606.

Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; brother, Franklin; si ster, Beatrice Mears and baby sister, Florence Ann Boughey. He is surviv ed by his son, James (Leatha) Boughey; daughter, Deborah Browning; brother s, Einer (Rose) and Robert (Faith) Boughey; grandchildren, Jeff (Shauna) B oughey, Michael (Melisa) Browning, Tracy (Matt) Ryan, Brian Browning, Ch ad (Heather) Browning and Christopher (Alicia) Browning; brother-in-law, L uther "Bud" (Billie) Whitmore; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Boyer VanWormer Scott Fune ral Home, 5055 Secor Rd. (N of Laskey) where funeral services will be he ld Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. The family prefe rs tributes be made to the Northwest OH Hospice Assoc. or the Shriners Hos pital and Burn Unit. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nursing st aff on 6th N at The Toledo Hospital for the loving care they gave to Bud d uring his illness.
