  11. Death of Mrs. J.R. Hyatt: Arab, May 24, on Friday May 21st. the death angle took from our midst a beloved neighbor wife and mother -- Mrs Ophelia Crawford Hyatt, wife of J.R. Hyatt. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, J.R. Hyatt; 1 daughter, Mrs J.T. Betterton of Arab, Rt 3; 5 sons, L.A., J.T., W.E., J.A. and Edd H Hyatt, all of Arab, Rt 3; also 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Mrs Hyatt was a good Christian woman, a member of the Baptist Church and her passing has cast a gloom over the community and surrounding territory in which she lived. Her remains were interred in Gilliam Springs cemetery with the Revs. Campbell and Dewett conducting the services. Archer Stanfield in charge with Pruitt directing. Pallbearers were, Lloyd Berry, Dallas Hyatt, Booster Hyatt, Rayburn, Max and Hood Hyatt all grandsons of deceased. Flowers girls were, Misses Lessie Marie Cranford, Archie and Rena Horton, Catheryan and Eunice Hyatt.
