Mrs. Oma Shreve, 77, of McComb, died at 7:15 p.m. yesterday at the Hancock County Home where she had been a patient for three years. She was a retired bookkeeper and had been a cook at the McComb High School.
Born Jan 25, 1891 in Blanchard Township, she was the daughter of Herman and Mary (Smith) Kuhlman, and lived most of her life in the McComb area.
She was married to Orva Shreve Jan. 24, 1923 and he died Nov. 20, 1941. She is survived by a son, Gage Gene Shreve, McComb, and a brother, John Kuhlman, Mount Cory.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Alfred and sisters, Mrs. Anna Dick, Mrs. Doria Shafer, Mrs. Ella Carter, Mrs. Esther Gallagher, Mrs. Marie Wentz and Christina Kuhlman.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hartley Funeral Home with Dr. W. E. Bradley officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
