    Funeral services for Oliver Heisen Gonzales, 73, prominent retired cattleman and farmer of Gonzales, was held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Gonzales Baptist Church. The Rev. Glen Lee Green officiated. Interment was in the Prairieville cemetery. Mr. Gonzales died September 7 at 11:40 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Gonzales and a member of one of the pioneer families in the community. He is survived by one son, Fred E. of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Irma G. Smith, Mrs. P. G. Wood, and Miss Flossie Gonzales; six brothers, U. M., Sidney, Lester, and Dewey of Gonzales, Allen of Donaldsonville, and Oreal of New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. T. W. Dyer of Shreveport, Mrs. J. F. Arceneaux of Denham Springs, and Mrs. O. W. Brown of Gonzales, and two grandchildren.
