    APPLETON, Oliver, s. Major, [died] June 3, 1676. CT.R.
[Note: The online record Source:Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. Births, Baptisms, Marriages, Publishments, Deaths, 1635-1871, 1635-1871, here, gives the death of Oliver as 30 June. Since this online version is an obvious copy made much (centuries?) later and so, at best, no closer to original than CT.R., a copy submitted to the county courts; and since Oliver is recorded before the death of sister Mary in a list that appears to be as-recorded, it is believed 3 Jun is probably the correct date.]

  2. Source:Publications of the Ipswich Historical Society (Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts, United States), Waters, T. Frank. "A Genealogy of the Ipswich Descendants of Samuel Appleton", Vol. 12, p. 184 indicates both Mary and Oliver are both "June 1676" and so twins. There is nothing found in the records that appears to show they are twins, nor that they were just born in that month. Further, there are few recorded births, being mostly estimates, and even then, there are many gaps in the sequence of children between when the parents married in 1656 and when they both died in 1676 where they could be born without affecting the data as shown, or violating any recorded fact AFAIK.
