    Olan Barclay, 75, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.

    Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

    Olan was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Childress to Earl and Jewell Barclay. He graduated from Amarillo High School and later graduated from Amarillo College. Olan then went on to receive a bachelor's degree from West Texas State College. In high school, he was a 4-year letterman in wrestling and was in Future Farmers of America. Olan also was a state officer while in F.F.A. He was in the insurance business for many years before starting Golden Spread Siding in 1978.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeff Barclay.

    Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Barclay of Amarillo; a son, Bart Barclay and wife Stacey of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Jonah and Elizabeth Barclay, both of Amarillo; a brother, Gaylon Barclay of Many, La.; four nephews; and four nieces.
