27 Oct. 1906

MRS. THOMAS PHELPS, nee ODALIE BLANCHARD, died Friday morning, October 26 at Charity Hospital in New Orleans at the age of 56. Her first husband JOSEPH GAUTHREAUX, who died in the 1878 yellow fever epidemic. Her second husband died in 1896. She was the sister of MRS. HENRY NEWCHURCH, MRS. OCTAVE BERGERON and MR. SANTI BLANCHARD. Her nephew, PHILIP GILBERT, was with her during her last days. The funeral took place at St. Napoleon Church and burial was in Paincourtville.
