Bk. 1685; surveyor; selectman 1689-1692; clerk of the market 1692; lic. out of doors 1697-1700. In 1706 he sold primers and almanacs. … He m. by 1670 a dau. of James Rollins(2), presum. Elizabeth, his only kn. w. … Probate records indicate he outliv. all his relatives; adm. to Richard Wibird for creditors 4 Mar. 1723-4. Mary Eburne (see Morse 3) had bill for nursing -15 Aug. 1723 to 15 Aug. 1724-. Kn. s. Ebenezer, gunsmith, owned a Portsm. ho. 1705. He m. bef. 1707 Sarah Deverson(1), beat her with a dangerous weapon in 1712, and assaulted Jos. Harris (14); broke jail and supposedly took refuge in Mary Eburne's ho. He had been of Boston and poss. went back, as absent or dead in 1713; called late of Portsm. in 1715 (One E. M., blacksmith from Bos. was warned at Charlestown, 1715). She m. 2d 13 Sept. 1716 Walter Steward. Ebenezer who m. Mary Peavey in Portsm. 15 May 1729 was poss. a son. ? Obadiah, blacksmith, Portsm. (see 3 Deborah, 10 Obadiah), m. Martha Sloper (Richard) aft. her ct. case ag. him in Sept. 1707 when many testif. incl. Agnes Matthews(1), at whose ho. he told that he had run away from Casco Fort to come home to marry Martha.
