Obadiah DAVISSON394 was born in Jan 1720 in Wading River, Long Island, New York.394 He died on 17 Jul 1786 in Clarksburg, Harrison, County, Virginia (Now West Virginia).
Obadiah received lands prior to the death of his father, 1759. The father's will has "to my son Obadiah Davison twenty shillings, money, &c." His land was along the Devil's Brook, a marshy quagmire like stream today, the first to enter the Millstone river north of Cranbury Brook, on the east.
About 1760, Obadiah sold his land to his brother-in-law and next bought land in Harrison County, Virginia. He may have stayed around Philadelphia for a short time prior to arriving in Virginia. Obadiah settled near the old salt works in Harrison County. He had "four hundred acres on Davison's run at the Big Lick" in the right of residence to include improvements made, 1773.
He married Elizabeth and had the following children,

:Nathaniel, he m. Ann. Killed by Indians in 1779.
:Obediah, b. 1762; d. 1825. M. 1788 in Harrison Co. to Elizabeth Robinson.
:Hezekiah, d. 1797. He m. Ann.
