Nicholas Sever graduated from Harvard College in 170_, and preached in the fall of 1708 in the church at Haverhill MA. He was offered 20 pounds money and 40 pounds of corn to settle in town on 1 March 1709. Two weeks later he was offered another 100 pounds money to the former offer, and allowed him use of all the parsonage land. On June 14 town offered four contributionos annually, and 20 cords of wood in addition. On June 21 he made proposals which were received, read, and declined. He was ordained at Dover, New Hampshire on 11 April 1711 at the First Church, and resigned in the Spring of 1715 due to a speech impediment. He was a Tutor at Harvard College from 1716 to 1728, and a Fellow at the College from 1725 to 1728. Nicholas Sever was Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for County of Plymouth from 1731 to 1762. On 5 April 1762, Nicholas Seaver of Kingston, Plymouth County and Susanna his wife, sold 65 acres in Belcher in Hampshire County for £43-6s-8p to Joseph Root of Northampton, Hampshire County, yeoman. The land formerly belonged to Aaron Lyman of Belcher and Mrs. Susanna Winslow, and was divided between them 1754 – she receiving the north part. [Note that Mrs. Susanna Winslow is the second wife of Nicholas Seaver.] Nicholas and Susanna Seaver signed the deed, which was witnessed by Thomas Foster and William Seaver.
