Funeral arrangements for Nicholas Mertes, pioneer Winona riverman, who died Monday morning after a paralytic stroke, were completed today. Services will be held at the Hillyer undertaking parlors at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Woodlawn cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Mertes, N.J. Mertes, George Mertes, Frank Mertes, J. J. Mertes and John Zehren
