Obituary JELLES -- Dr. Nicholas Jelles, aged 91, of Grand Rapids, peacefully went to be with his Lord early Tuesday, June 25, 2002. He was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline (VerMeer) in 1980. He is survived by his wife, Jenna V (Laug); nieces and nephews, Willa and Roger Bauer, James and Marybeth Bos; grand nieces and nephews, Randall and Leslie, Brian and Deborah, Kenneth and Kristin Baur, Kim and Douglas Ritz, Michael, Mark and Kristin, Kevin Bos; five great-nieces and nephews; step children, Claudia and Thomas Larson, JoAnne and Robert White, Janice Hornack, Mary and Richard VandenBerg, James and Dorothy Browning, Janet Kemink, Christine and Donald Maxwell, Sharon and Richard Smit; 27 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services including committal will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Rayborook Manor Chapel, the Rev. Harvey Kiekover officiating. Private interment Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will be at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at Raybrook Friday 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or the Luke Society. Dr. Jelles was a former member of Neland Ave. CRC and presently a member of LaGrave Ave. CRC. He had practiced dentistry in Grand Rapids for 41 years.
