Nelson Coon was born in Plainfield, N. Y., May 3, 1811, and died Aug. 17, 1890, at his residence in Janesville, Wis. He came to Wisconsin with the pioneers of 1844. He leaves a family of seven children with his life companion, and many friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the family residence on Madison street. G. W. H.
